The preschool closes on NSW public and school holidays.

The preschool is licensed to cater for 20 children per day aged from 3 years to under 6 years of age.

Our aims
​
* To provide a program that is holistically responsive to all children's interests, strengths and emerging skills
*To empower children to develop a strong sense of self-worth, exercise their individual agency and to be resilient
* To encourage children's intrinsic motivation and self-confidence to investigate and participate in a variety of play, social and learning experiences within the preschool​ and their community
* To develop a sense of community and group belonging, strengthening children's social competence, emotional awareness of self and others and the value of inter-dependence
* To instill a life-long love of learning
Our Fees

Tweed Heads Community Preschool Inc. operates as a non-profit organisation. We receive financial support from the NSW State Government- Start Strong Program and Fee Relief payments, targeted grants, parent fees, voluntary fundraising and social functions.
​
Under the Start Strong for Community Preschools Program, we currently offer up to 600hrs of no fee or low cost preschool to eligible children.
Fee relief is provided for children eligible for funding under the Start Strong guidelines for community preschools. To be eligible for funding a child will need to be:

At least 3 years old on or before 31 July in that preschool year and not in compulsory schooling; and
-
Attending an early childhood education program
​Priority of access

Services are required to give equal priority of access to:
-
children who are at least 4 years old on or before the 31 July in that preschool year and not enrolled or registered at a school
-
children who are at least 3 years old on or before 31 July in that preschool year and from low income and/or Aboriginal families
-
children with disability and/or additional needs
-
children who are at risk of significant harm (from a child protection perspective).

There is no order of priority assigned to the list of points above.

Priority must be given to the groups outlined above before any other groups, including non-equity 3 year olds.
